England. Dec 5, 2019. #7. I really wouldn't worry about it, the batteries are fine being stored for months in almost any state. The genuine 3 battery charger from Ryze/DJI is also more than adequate. There is no point wasting time or money on anything else. Just keep them away from extreme cold/heat during storage.
The last thing you want is to have your drone positioned over a body of icy water or a forest and suddenly find you don't have enough juice to bring it back safely. Regardless of how long your drone remains in the air when it's bitterly cold, there's no doubt that your fingers will give out much sooner. DJI batteries are the same, but

Avoid flying to 0%. Just like storing batteries at 100% can damage the battery, flying to 0% likewise can cause permanent damage to your battery. I suggest that you land your drone when the battery has reached 15% to maximize battery life. However, many drone operators feel more comfortable with landing around the 25% mark, as a precaution.
Most drones come with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack. The maximum flight time per charge varies depending on the model. Most enterprise-grade drones used in police work can stay in the air for more than 30 minutes. The DJI M300 can stay in the air for up to 55 minutes.
Some owners of DJI's Mini 2 drone have been reporting issues with the batteries - primarily a discharge problem if they're left in the charging hub or drone. The DJI batteries need a lot of current to get the needed watts to charge the battery. The higher the current, the more susceptible to voltage drop in wiring resistance. DJI charger draws 6.5A once the battery begins charging. To lose as much as 1V in the car wiring from car battery to charger you only need 0.15 ohms in the wiring.
DJI is one of the most popular drone manufacturers and has released a variety of drone models over the years. The lifespan of DJI drones varies depending on the drone model, usage, and maintenance. For example, the DJI Mavic 2 has a lifespan of up to 31 minutes of flight time, while the DJI Mavic Air has a slightly shorter lifespan of 21
